River Island | Haul
As with most girls, you probably have more than one handbag right? Well... In my case anyway! Most people I know prefer to go for expensive bags, more of a "designer" name to them etc. But for years now I've always had an obsession with River Island bags, they've always been top quality, never broken on me and always had different styles (which is what I love the most).
Recently River Island hosted a 20% using student discount, stupidly I decided to wait and order in the evening (letting my mum have a look if she wanted to order anything when she finished work). By the time I went to make my order the handbag I had most wanted had disappeared from the website, after Tweeting the company they informed me they was discontinuing the bag and it had sold out! In a man hunt, I went searching all the stores near by (starting in North Wales stores) which all had sold out, but then I finally found it in the Chester store with only two left when I visited. I felt like a kid in a candy store I was so excited to get my hands on it! (The bag I was searching for was the pink/white patterned one in photos).
I personally enjoy having two handbags, one for shopping trips or when I visit local stores a bag which is on the more smaller side of things so it won't get in the way. Then have a larger bag for University to carry all my folders, books, computer, and makeup supplies in. I bought the pink/white patterned bag for £35 (Which I think is affordable), it has the large zip purse pouch in the front which came with the bag, it's detachable by a metal button. Inside it has no pockets or further zipped areas (which I would of liked to of had but oh well), but it does come with a long satchel strap (which I won't be using as I prefer to hold with the handles).
In the sale, I found the large brown "tote" style bag which has lots of space inside, and a zip area, plus it came with a long satchel strap which again is detachable. This bag was RRP £42 but in the sale it was only £25 which is amazing value! It's perfect for me to take on long day traveling trips, or for university purely because I can fit so much in (even an A4 pad!).
On the other hand, I had really wanted to buy this white & pink floral mini bag for awhile, I loved that it had a detachable pouch in the middle. (it's like a small makeup bag, purse, or iPad bag). It again comes with a detachable strap, but personally I just use the two handles, the only downside to this bag is it has no internal pockets inside so everything is loose but it is only small so perfect to use on shopping day trips or running out to the store quickly for a few bits and bobs! RRP £35.
And then of course, I picked up some baby blue 3/4 ankle smart cotton trousers (mainly for work, interviews or anything business related). I am a huge fan of these type of trousers at the moment, they are super comfy, not too 'skinny' or 'baggy' and they are very fashionable. However, I did buy a bigger size thinking they'd be fairly tight (my mistake they was actually really loose around the waist so best worn with a belt). RRP £38
Overall, I'm in love with all the products and am super excited to get my hands on more River Island bags soon. X
