Hey everyone, so awhile back I posted a picture on Instagram tagging @makeuprevolution with the hashtag ' #revoholic '. Each week on a Friday they pick a few photos which do both of these processes and regram them, plus you win a free gift! Well, lucky enough my photo was regram'ed and shared among there social media account where I was privately contacted to forward my postal details.

I will admit this took awhile to arrive, (about four weeks) and I somewhat totally forgot about it. Then to my surprise it arrived earlier last week, a small bag packed with a lot of goodies. I am totally in love, and majorly shocked by how much they gave me, for FREE! So what did I get?;

I Heart Makeup Molten Chocolate 'Naked Chocolate' - RRP £3
Now this is a strange one... I've never been a major lover of matte lip products and honestly was a bit unsure if this was a matte product? It applied smoothly, feeling so moisturizing and soft on my lips as a dark pinky tone. But after about 5 minutes it dried out into a matte lip, I did notice it rubbed off easy onto drinking glasses etc..

I Heart Makeup Chocolate Palette 'Chocolate Love' - RRP £7.99
When I first saw this palette, I instantly fell in love with the outer design looking just like a melted pink chocolate bar! When you open up inside there is a total of 16 shades, two being rather large in size. There is a good even mix of shades some being bright and shimmery, and some being darker and perfect to use when creating a smoky eye (Although not many of these are bright and vibrant).

Makeup Revolution Strobe Highlighter 'Moon Glow Lights' - RRP £3
My all time favorite highlighter this year has to be the Golden Lights shade, it's just perfect for my skin and shines so much! When I got this I was rather excited, unsure what to expect but I noticed when I quickly did a swatch on my finger it wasn't very 'glowy'. It was more just of a dark, bronzing shade with a slight shimmer but nothing over the top... I've been using this for over a week now, and honestly, I use it as a bronzer/contour product rather than a highlighter. It might just be because I'm rather pale, who knows!

Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Lipstick 'Red Carpet' - RRP £3
Ekkk! WOW! I love the packaging on this beauty, rose gold is my all time favorite plus the deep red makes it stand out even more. What else could any girl want? It looks gorgeous on my desk, and is a dramatic red lip that everyone wants.

Brow Arch Enhancing Stick - RRP £3
When I saw this product it was probably one of the few I was most excited to try, I always love to highlight my cheeks, brow bones, and sometimes along my nose. Although its easy to use, I always struggle when it comes to my brow highlighting. I find it difficult to get a brush, at the perfect size, angle and type which can apply the product at the best quality. When I use this, one draw across the under of my brow and BAM! You get full, maximizing highlighter shine (you can always blend it slightly if you don't like the over dramatic look).

I Heart Makeup I Heart My Lips 'Wild Strawberry' - £2.99
I honestly had no idea what this product was, when I unopened it I 100% realized and felt stupid. It's a lip balm, similar to the EOS or W7 you can get (and are my all time loves), one thing I noticed with this product is there is a LOT of the product in a tall vertical shape. Something that always worries me, if I press to hard would the product snap off? I've not had any issues with that as of yet, and honestly this is my new go-to product using it more than four times a day with the cold winter-y season!

Overall, I'm in love with all the products with the wild strawberry balm, brow enhancer and shadow palette being my all time new favorites being used in my daily routine. Let me know what your favorite Makeup Revolution products are over my social media. X
Hey guys so recently I've been needing to purchase a new sonic head for my Clinique sonic cleanser, I saw them post about the newest skincare collection City Block being the deepest cleanse they've brought to the market as of yet. I finally got round to visiting my nearest boots store to get the chance to get a full one-on-one experience and get to know all the details about this range...

After a long discussion and demonstration, it was clear this range would be perfect for me to try out. The aim is to give a deep cleanse, removing all dirty and oil (perfect for my oily skin), plus it's great for those of us who wear makeup, and remove makeup because it gets rid of any left by chance (win). So what did I purchase? Well I needed a new sonic head, so I purchased the City Block brush head and then the City Block cleansing gel. To my surprise staff told me if I purchased a third item I get a freebie (of course that appealed to me) so I ended up buying a full size Moisturizer Gel as mine is running low. And then I got a free gift set AND a free full-size chubby lipstick (colour of my choice from the selection available).

City Block Sonic Brush Head - RRP £17
Now with all Clinique brush heads, they are the same price which is a big bonus because considering this is a new product I had doubts the price might of increased but it never! As for the brush head itself, it's probably by far the softest out of the range (I've tried all the brush heads) and I actually love the dark colour because it doesn't show up as dirty.

- NOTE You need the sonic system in order to use this product, it clips onto the system and then acts as your head. I personally get new brush heads every 6 months to maintain hygiene :-)

City Block Purifying Charcoal Cleansing Gel - RRP £18
Now I've been using this gel for about 2-3 weeks and I must admit I love it... When I first got it I was using it twice a day to maximize the most out of the product, when you squeeze the product out it's very dark and black like colour as for the scent its very different and almost reminds me of the outdoor sea?? (strange haha) It honestly leaves my skin feeling beyond clean and smooth, fresh for the day. As time has past I've now been using this once a day and using my other Clinqiue liquid face soap during the morning and the City Block in the evening to give a deep cleanse ready for the night time. I have very sensitive, oily skin which is prone to breakouts regular but since I've been using this I have noticed my oiliness has been controlled dramatically, my breakouts haven't increased nor have they decreased but I feel like it's improved my skin just in 3 weeks of using the product.

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel  - 125ml with pump RRP £30
This is my go-to moisturizer, I've been using this product for well over a year now twice  a day straight after I've cleansed my skin. I use the GEL version because I am very oily, at first £30 seems a lot of money and a lot of people may think you will run out instantly. But I've used my full size 125ml with pump since last year August and ran out just around June time this year, which is amazing. I use one pump and it does my entire face, it controls my skin with oiliness and helps to make sure it doesn't dry out too much (plus it's very lightweight on your skin).

Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm - FREE GIFT!
So because I purchased three products I received this free full size chubby, I got to choose from a selection of colours but decided to go for 02 whole lotta honey because it was very nude like (plus it would be great for fall season). There isn't much to express on the chubbys apart from they are very hydrating on the lips, easy to apply and very natural like.

Gift Set - FREE GIFT!
I also received a free Clinique gift set with lots of mini's inside, now honestly every-time I've purchased off Clinique they have some sort of offer on to get freebies which I love. I think I received this because I spent over so much, or because I purchased two or more items (can't quite remember). So what did I get?

Makeup Bag
The first major noticeable thing I received was the bright summer colour makeup or toiletry bag, its a decent size easy to fit a wide range of mini's inside or even a few full size products.
Liquid Face Soap 30ml dry combination
One thing I have noticed every time I get a free gift off Clinique you ALWAYS receive a mini face soap of dry combination which is slightly annoying since I am oily based. However I always end up giving this away to a family member who I know will use it to the fullest :-)
Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm
This was probably the product I was most excited about in the gift set, this seems to be a full size chubby cheek product in the shade 02 robust rhubarb. The size of the head makes it a perfect size to drag downwards on your cheeks for a natural blush like colour to your face. Plus it's very rouge like quality which I personally prefer as the colour stays, lasts longer and doesn't wear off after a few hours.

High Impact Mascara 3.5ml
Who doesn't love a free mini mascara right? This is in the shade 01 black, and with most mini mascara's you can easily get 1-2 weeks worth out of them (if you use them daily). There isn't much I can state about this product, the wand applicator is very average styled (no bends, unusual shaped etc).
Prep-Start Eye Cream
This is a small mini size 7ml tube of eye cream great to apply after a skincare routine or before an eye makeup session. It's a smalls size but you only need a small amount per eye (honestly), the product itself is a white cream like substance but is very thin and easy to spread across.
Take The Day Off Makeup Remove - lids, lashes & lips.
A generous size 50ml bottle of makeup remove for lids, lashes and lips which is another regular freebie within the Clinique gift sets but honestly I'm not complaining at all! I love this product, it's easy to use, smells great and works beautifully.
Mini LipStick
And finally a mini lip stick in the shade 06 Bubblegum Pop, another freebie I can say I've had previously (but in a different shade). The small size is perfect to fit into handbags, or to try before buying the full size. And surprisingly the pink tone lipstick isn't too bright at all and a lot more neutral tone.

Overall I am once again in love with all my purchases from Clinique and overjoyed with all the freebies I picked up along my way. The store staff in Boots never disappoints me, they are never pushy to purchase, always there to help and make sure you get exactly what you want. Although this was a slightly expensive splurge you could easily pick up one of the products at a time and grow your collection over a period (that is exactly what I did at the beginning of my Clinique journey). X
So recently Makeup Revolution had a major 50% off sale on selected products (of which there was a majorly huge variety of choice which was surprising). Among the wide choice of products I had, I decided to make a joint combined order with my mum to share products and save on postage!

1. Radiant Light - Exhale £2.50
I can honestly say I've fallen in love with Makeup Revolution Illuminating products, I've used a few previously. But this one may actual become a new love of mine, it's super pigmented and very 'creamy' shaded with a mix of a light rose gold like shimmer.

  • Link for Radiant Light in shade 'Exhale'  on makeup revolution site - RRP £5 Click here.

2. The One Concealer Medium £1.50
Now I was unsure what to expect from this product, it looked very unusual and similar to the Benefit Cosmetics 'fakeup' concealer. When I applied (which was bought for my mum as shes a darker shade where as I'm pale), I felt like it didn't give the maximum 'WOW' affect, if anything I felt like it was an average coverage. However, I never had problems with it creasing or drying out (positive). (RRP £3)

3. Ultra Velour Lip Cream-Move your mouth forever - £1.50
The reason I choose this product was because of the simple 'nude like' colour, when it arrived I was slightly shocked by the size (I think I was expecting it to be bigger). But it's texture is really soft, moisturizing and creamy on the lips plus it lasted for a long period of time. (RRP £3)

4. Awesome Metals Eye Foils Rose Gold - £2
I didn't really know what to expect when using this product, I decided to buy as an 'experiment'. When it arrived its packaging was very compact, it was perfect to fit in three pieces of equipment needed to use this product all in a small box! You get the metal shadow in a pot, a circular silver tin pot to apply the product / mix and then a liquid which u use to mix with the shadow like product to get the 'metal look'. It was easy to use, simple, no confusion and it did come with instructions (which honestly I thought was not needed as it seemed obvious what to do) but still wow! It applied easy, lasted all day long and dried out instantly (which was a bonus). The shade itself was perfect too, a rose gold it had a lot of silver shimmer mixed with a gold shade!

5. I Heart Makeup Brush Kit £2.50 each - Purple & Blue
I bought two sets of these (one for my mum and one for myself), I feel in love with these the day they got launched because of the unique glam touch on the handles. They are min's, so they fit perfect into a travel bag or handbag plus they are easy to handle and use. I personally have been using the larger brush for cheeks blush, the angled brush for highlighter under my brows, and the smaller rounder brush tipped one for eye-shadow application all have worked perfect to my needs. One thing I would love to see from these products is them made into larger 'normal' sized brushes so I could use them everyday.

6. Ultra Face Base Foundation - £1.50 each
So at such a low price my mum really wanted to try out these foundation products, as with any 'face' products I'm very careful because of the risk of 'spot' out breaks or the product not agreeing with my skin. I personally have a very 'oily/combination/sensitive' skin type which is usually a nightmare to work with. I used the 02 Pink Tone shade product which is a PERFECT shade match for anyone who is majorly pale like myself (porcelain), when I applied the product it went on smoothly and lasted all day long. It never went patchy at all! I did feel like you would have to build up a lot for coverage and would recommend using a very good concealer for under your eyes, and anything you wish to cover up. The 03 Yellow Tone was more for someone with a medium-light shade, my mum was the perfect skin colour match for this. Plus with it being yellow tone it works great with redness on the skin, again the coverage was 'average' but it lasted all day long which is the main bonus, along side with how affordable it is!

7. 5 Baked Eyeshadows - £1.25
WOW! I am in love with this product, first of the shades are perfect to blend together or wear on there own. The lightest shade on the top left corner works great to apply under the brow for an extra highlighting feature. All the shades are super pigmented and honestly do last for a good few hours (even longer if you use an eye-shadow primer).

  • 5 Baked Eyeshadows-Electric Dreams - RRP £3 Click to view on makeup revolution here.

8. Unicorns Unite Lipstick - 50p each
So I ordered three different shades of these lipsticks, purely because of the cheap affordable price. I didn't expect much from them (probably because of the price), but also because with most lip products in this shade they are very less pigmented and more of an over gloss shade. But WOW! I was wrong.. First off, by far the blue shade (horn of magic) was my most favorite, the shade was so unique in itself with an unusual pattern. All three lip products where surprisingly pigmented well, you do need to put a good amount on for an outstanding dramatic look but overall one layer would most likely be enough. Plus with the new 'Alice In Wonderland' movie and all cosmetic brands releasing bright vibrant colours, I feel like this is the perfect time to use them!

Overall, I'm in love with this order it came in a speedy time scale and everything was packaged perfectly to prevent damage. I am honestly impressed with all the products, especially the lipsticks, foundations and eyeshadows! Let me know below or on Twitter / Instagram of your favorite Makeup Revolution products?X
Hey guys! Since its coming up to Valentines day I thought why not include a cute post based on "love" "valentine" lip colour choices and ideas you could use! Some of the products I included are based of either a red or pink colour for that cheeky kiss feel.

For pinks, I've included Smashbox lip gloss in the shade Pout (pale blue pink) which could be worn on its own or paired with a lipstick. Lipsticks in pink shades include W7 collection of Kiss Chase, City of London both pale pink and bright pink!

Or, for the red tones I included a lipstick from Avon which is a deep red which is perfectly paired with Helen E lip liner in the shade 2. Which both can be covered in a lip gloss or wore on its own from Smashbox in the shade Disco Rose (rich rose). And of course, I included two nail varnishes a pale pink from Nails Inc or a deep red off OPI.

Let me know below in the comments what shade you'l be wearing for Valentines this year?X
So the December months magazine arrived and I was super excited! First off because the beautiful Tanya Burr is on the front cover, but secondly because I got a super cute and perfect Clinqiue lipstick! AND it has Christmas stories / fashion, everything perfect for this season!

One thing I did notice in this months magazine was there where a lot of lipsticks advertised throughout the magazine, some super cute warm winter thick jumpers for the fashion & style pages. Plus a freebie sample of Angel which is by far a favorite of mine before even getting this magazine!

This lipstick was bought from AVON, its colour is very deep almost like a plum purple. I love this colour because its so dramatic, it lasts fairly long and comes in a unique red/black style container. You turn the bottom (as of any normal lipstick) and the product pushes upwards, its very lasting and can see lots of use out of this without having to worry about it running out!

Don't forget to comment feedback / suggestions below! :-) Xo thanks for reading!!!
This holder is clear plastic, with x24 square slots to place your lipsticks. It's based on four levels and works perfect, my lipsticks & glosses fit great! I was on the hunt for one of these for ages, but I didn't want to pay extravagant prices. I finally found on eBay you can purchase them for EXTREMELY cheap from China, I paid £2.09 including postage! It arrived about two weeks after ordering and it was packaged perfect, it was wrapped up in polystyrene and cello taped securely.

Link to where I bought from: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181448912295?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
This MAC studio fix foundation is a favorite but hate of mine... I love the product as of recent MAC have gotten perfect matches for skin tones, this is great colour for those who have porcelain skin. The shade I use is NW10, the lightest available at MAC.

So, the reason why I love this product is because the colour is a perfect match, but it is easy to build coverage. When I wear this product it gives maximum coverage and does last all day (if you use a good primer), however.... I do have oily/sensitive skin and this foundation does irritate my skin if I constantly wear the product. By that I mean if I wear this product as a daily foundation, after about a week I notice my skin breaking out, and looking dull. I find the also makes my skin look shiny and oily once applied, but I usually tone that down by adding a bit of powder foundation over the top then applying my powder over the top of that.

The product can be bought at MAC counters in stores or online for £21.50 here: http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/shaded/158/1231/Products/Face/Foundation/Studio-Fix-Fluid-SPF-15/index.tmpl

Do remember, this product requires a foundation pump which costs £4 and again can be bought online or at store: http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/product/135/833/Products/Kit-Essentials/Tools/Foundation-Pump/index.tmpl

I suggest you keep the foundation pump, once you've finished clean it out and re-use! Plus once you've finished with your MAC product and it is empty keep it safe and once you reach six empty containers you can send back to MAC and receive a FREE lipstick.
