Hey everyone, so I recently took a trip to Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet it's a shopping area with lots of various designer stores including clothes, shoes, jewelry, makeup etc. Among my many purchases one shop in particular that caught my eye the most was 'The Cosmetics Company' they had lots of high-end cosmetic, skincare and parfum brands including MAC, Clinqiue, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder and much more. Plus they was ALL cheaper than what they would sell for in the stores themselves, some prices where just a little under retail price but others which a huge saving!

After spending awhile in the shop I managed to pickup a few things, mainly they was all skincare related as I am trying to push for the best possible skincare out there. Although I only purchased three products (I could of bought many more but my bank would of cried!) they came to a somewhat large total of £56 although the RRP would have been £74.50 so I saved a good chunk of money. So what did I buy?

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Gel Cream - £30 (RRP £40)

Bobbi Brown was one of the first high-end cosmetic products I ever used and is an all time favorite, why? Because I personally found the products to be so much more healthier for my skin, it reduced breakouts by a mile and left me feeling confident with my skin. However, over the past few years I haven't always gone back to Bobbi, why? Price is the first hiccup, all the products are in my opinion 'high end' especially when it comes to the price (£30 for a foundation can be a tackle for students). But I used this cream many years ago and I fell in love, although it is very pricey it lasts so long as you need a small amount (just enough to cover the tip of your finger would be fine). Ensuring you apply the product evenly all over your face and neck, it doesn't cause me any dryness, or cause my skin to get oily it just has that perfect balance. After only using it for just under two weeks I can already admit I'm back to wanting to get all Bobbi products, I haven't broke out as much and I feel like applying this helps make a flawless look when it comes to applying foundation.

Clinique Anti Blemish Cleansing Foam - £13.50 (RRP £18)
When I first bought my Clinqiue Sonic System I originally used the anti blemish skincare range, including the sonic head specified for this range! I fell in love with the foam, purely because it's not too strong and powerful on my skin, it leaves you feeling oil free pretty much all day or night. One pump of this does my face perfectly for a full wash (sometimes I splash a little water on my face before applying the foam to rub in), but I do recommend having a good moisturizer after so you don't dry up. But the major bonus I've found using this product for two weeks now is I haven't broken out in blemishes, or 'spots' anymore than normally I would. And if anything its starting to reduce the ones I had, and scaring marks left on my skin! Always remember to apply your cleanser and moisturizer to your neck too.

Clinique Clarifying Lotion Type 3 - £12.50 (RRP 16.50)
Now I'm a huge sucker for Clinique skincare in case you already didn't know, and I had a small mini sample size of this product long ago and fell in love with it. I never got round to buying the full size, mainly down to already owning many other 'toners' or 'lotions' and felt like I needed to use those first. But since purchasing this product, I use it straight after I've cleansed my skin using a piece of cotton wool, and lightly dabbing across my entire face. You instantly can tell it cleans your skin that little bit more with a powerful, strong 'fresh' like scent but it doesn't leave you oily or dry! (Although I instantly moisturize straight after)

Overall, I'm in love with every single purchase I feel like I can finally start to become proud and comfortable with my skin using just these three products. I'm not 100% sure if The Cosmetic Company have lots of stores located around the UK or if its an exclusive to Cheshire Oaks? (I doubt it) but they did have a website (which you can visit here) although they don't seem to stock majority of what they had in the store. X
Hey guys so recently I've been needing to purchase a new sonic head for my Clinique sonic cleanser, I saw them post about the newest skincare collection City Block being the deepest cleanse they've brought to the market as of yet. I finally got round to visiting my nearest boots store to get the chance to get a full one-on-one experience and get to know all the details about this range...

After a long discussion and demonstration, it was clear this range would be perfect for me to try out. The aim is to give a deep cleanse, removing all dirty and oil (perfect for my oily skin), plus it's great for those of us who wear makeup, and remove makeup because it gets rid of any left by chance (win). So what did I purchase? Well I needed a new sonic head, so I purchased the City Block brush head and then the City Block cleansing gel. To my surprise staff told me if I purchased a third item I get a freebie (of course that appealed to me) so I ended up buying a full size Moisturizer Gel as mine is running low. And then I got a free gift set AND a free full-size chubby lipstick (colour of my choice from the selection available).

City Block Sonic Brush Head - RRP £17
Now with all Clinique brush heads, they are the same price which is a big bonus because considering this is a new product I had doubts the price might of increased but it never! As for the brush head itself, it's probably by far the softest out of the range (I've tried all the brush heads) and I actually love the dark colour because it doesn't show up as dirty.

- NOTE You need the sonic system in order to use this product, it clips onto the system and then acts as your head. I personally get new brush heads every 6 months to maintain hygiene :-)

City Block Purifying Charcoal Cleansing Gel - RRP £18
Now I've been using this gel for about 2-3 weeks and I must admit I love it... When I first got it I was using it twice a day to maximize the most out of the product, when you squeeze the product out it's very dark and black like colour as for the scent its very different and almost reminds me of the outdoor sea?? (strange haha) It honestly leaves my skin feeling beyond clean and smooth, fresh for the day. As time has past I've now been using this once a day and using my other Clinqiue liquid face soap during the morning and the City Block in the evening to give a deep cleanse ready for the night time. I have very sensitive, oily skin which is prone to breakouts regular but since I've been using this I have noticed my oiliness has been controlled dramatically, my breakouts haven't increased nor have they decreased but I feel like it's improved my skin just in 3 weeks of using the product.

Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel  - 125ml with pump RRP £30
This is my go-to moisturizer, I've been using this product for well over a year now twice  a day straight after I've cleansed my skin. I use the GEL version because I am very oily, at first £30 seems a lot of money and a lot of people may think you will run out instantly. But I've used my full size 125ml with pump since last year August and ran out just around June time this year, which is amazing. I use one pump and it does my entire face, it controls my skin with oiliness and helps to make sure it doesn't dry out too much (plus it's very lightweight on your skin).

Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm - FREE GIFT!
So because I purchased three products I received this free full size chubby, I got to choose from a selection of colours but decided to go for 02 whole lotta honey because it was very nude like (plus it would be great for fall season). There isn't much to express on the chubbys apart from they are very hydrating on the lips, easy to apply and very natural like.

Gift Set - FREE GIFT!
I also received a free Clinique gift set with lots of mini's inside, now honestly every-time I've purchased off Clinique they have some sort of offer on to get freebies which I love. I think I received this because I spent over so much, or because I purchased two or more items (can't quite remember). So what did I get?

Makeup Bag
The first major noticeable thing I received was the bright summer colour makeup or toiletry bag, its a decent size easy to fit a wide range of mini's inside or even a few full size products.
Liquid Face Soap 30ml dry combination
One thing I have noticed every time I get a free gift off Clinique you ALWAYS receive a mini face soap of dry combination which is slightly annoying since I am oily based. However I always end up giving this away to a family member who I know will use it to the fullest :-)
Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm
This was probably the product I was most excited about in the gift set, this seems to be a full size chubby cheek product in the shade 02 robust rhubarb. The size of the head makes it a perfect size to drag downwards on your cheeks for a natural blush like colour to your face. Plus it's very rouge like quality which I personally prefer as the colour stays, lasts longer and doesn't wear off after a few hours.

High Impact Mascara 3.5ml
Who doesn't love a free mini mascara right? This is in the shade 01 black, and with most mini mascara's you can easily get 1-2 weeks worth out of them (if you use them daily). There isn't much I can state about this product, the wand applicator is very average styled (no bends, unusual shaped etc).
Prep-Start Eye Cream
This is a small mini size 7ml tube of eye cream great to apply after a skincare routine or before an eye makeup session. It's a smalls size but you only need a small amount per eye (honestly), the product itself is a white cream like substance but is very thin and easy to spread across.
Take The Day Off Makeup Remove - lids, lashes & lips.
A generous size 50ml bottle of makeup remove for lids, lashes and lips which is another regular freebie within the Clinique gift sets but honestly I'm not complaining at all! I love this product, it's easy to use, smells great and works beautifully.
Mini LipStick
And finally a mini lip stick in the shade 06 Bubblegum Pop, another freebie I can say I've had previously (but in a different shade). The small size is perfect to fit into handbags, or to try before buying the full size. And surprisingly the pink tone lipstick isn't too bright at all and a lot more neutral tone.

Overall I am once again in love with all my purchases from Clinique and overjoyed with all the freebies I picked up along my way. The store staff in Boots never disappoints me, they are never pushy to purchase, always there to help and make sure you get exactly what you want. Although this was a slightly expensive splurge you could easily pick up one of the products at a time and grow your collection over a period (that is exactly what I did at the beginning of my Clinique journey). X
So the December months magazine arrived and I was super excited! First off because the beautiful Tanya Burr is on the front cover, but secondly because I got a super cute and perfect Clinqiue lipstick! AND it has Christmas stories / fashion, everything perfect for this season!

One thing I did notice in this months magazine was there where a lot of lipsticks advertised throughout the magazine, some super cute warm winter thick jumpers for the fashion & style pages. Plus a freebie sample of Angel which is by far a favorite of mine before even getting this magazine!

So everyone questions powder or liquid foundation? Well this year I've been switching between the two a lot! First of I always assumed powder foundations wouldn't last long, they would give poor coverage and go patchy... Boy was I wrong.

Powder -
This year I've used various powder foundations, my FAVORITE is Bare Minerals just because you need so little for a large amount of coverage and it's colour is a perfect match, plus it looks flawless when you apply... My second favorite is Mally (QVC), I love the colour of this product although it looks a little orange in the tub when applied it goes on great and is perfect if you need a fast makeup look or for everyday use (Especially for university!). Then, finally Laura Geller which I found colour wise is perfect but isn't great for coverage & use this powder foundation as a powder product over the top of my liquid foundations....
I find with powder foundations you are best to use a good strong primer (My favorite is the Laura Geller Spackle with powder foundations)... Because it has a sticky base I find the powder applies instantly and lasts all day!

Liquid -
Now liquid foundations have always been my favorite, purely because you can build up coverage instantly! Over the years I've used various brands but the two I decided to point out was first off Clinique.. I have only recently started using this product but I love it, the coverage is great, it's perfect for my skin and hasn't made me breakout + the only downside is that the colour is sometimes a little too "dark" for me but I always tone it down with a lighter powder... Then the other product I wanted to mention was MAC, now MAC has always been bad for my skin, not sure why but I 100% always breakout and get extremely oily. BUT with that being said MAC colour matching is PERFECT I am super porcelain skin type and this colour is extremely light just perfect and the 1 reason why I am obsessed with it even when it's bad for my skin!

Let me know in the comments what you're thoughts is on these products, and which do you prefer... Liquid or Powder?X
So over on my birthday which seems age ago but wasn't I purchased the Clinique Sonic System (Which is rather pricey but I have been saving up for a while to get one). On the day of purchasing the product if I bought 1 more skincare I would receive this bundle of mini freebies for FREE! (I also got 20% off my purchase as a Boot's celebration & I could collect points!)

1. High Impact Mascara (Black) ;
This product is a mini version of the full size Mascara which retails at £17.50, I must admit I wasn't overly impressed with the product itself. Personally I found it was very basic, the brush wasn't shaped differently and was rather chunky making it difficult to apply onto my inner corners (especially on my lower lashes!)

2. Chubby Stick ; (Lip balm)
I was so involve when I saw I got this freebie, chubby's are my favorite just because of the style! When I swatched I was shocked by how light the colour was, since it is rather vibrant looking I was expecting a lot of colour to plump out. Although it is a lip balm, so is more for moisturizing you're lips than colouring plus this is a decent size Chubby which normally retails at £17 for full size!

3. Turnaround Overnight Moisturizer ;
This product is a decent size mini as the full size of this product retails at £34 so is a perfect size mini to trail before buying the full size product! I applied a small amount of this all over my face and it felt like I had placed a thick layer of cream over my skin. It felt very cooling and smooth on the skin, which did make me feel more moisturized and like I had a healthy glow.

4. Eye shadow duo ; 18 beached plum
The packaging of this product is super perfect, plus the size is perfect for you're handbag! I love how the outer packaging of this is completely a mirror style which makes it easy to apply and useful as you wouldn't need to carry any other mirror with you! First off, the gold shade is by far my favorite as I love these shades. It has a small shimmer of glitter but would work better if you use a eye primer to lift the colour more. As for the plum purple shade, its very deep and you only need a small amount for a large quantity of colour.

5. Liquid facial soap ;
This soap is perfect to test if it is right for you're skin, I personally think this type (dry combination) would work best with skin that has less issues and maybe suffer with small dry patches etc..

6. Turnaround daytime moisturizer ;
This product is the alernative to the nightime product, and works perfectly on freshly cleansed skin. I noticed when you apply a primer over the top it gives a thick layer making you're skin feel clean with makeup applied!

7. Purple metal tin ;
This tin is large and is perfect for storage, whether you use it to store other cosmetic or skincare products. Or use it to store hair products, bath products etc it is super stylish and useful!

Overall, I was super impressed with this collection of freebies. All the sizes of the products were perfect and would easily last me 2 weeks possibly even longer!
Hey guys, so I recently went down to a Clinique counter in a Boots store to get a match for foundation. The woman at the counter was so friendly, after explaining how I have oily and sensitive skin which breaks out quite often I was looking for a natural look foundation that gives good coverage! We tested various colours but found the shade "02 Alabaster" was perfect for my porcelain skin, this shade gives me a little colour but matches perfect!

So I thought I would do a before and after of this product and then include a final look at the end, this is to give you guys a good idea of my skin condition and the coverage and colour of the product! I simply love this so much, I usually apply a powder over the top and primer + moisturizer under.

Let me know what you guys think? I have been using this product for way over a month and haven't had any problems regarding further break outs! Don't forget to follow my blog over on the home page!X

Hey guys! So today I thought I would write about my current skincare routine which has recently changed. However I have been using this routine for over a month now and I have not had any major problems, before I start I want to point out my skin is very oily / sensitive.

I begin by removing any makeup I am wearing with a cleansing wipe (Any usually work as long as they are for sensitive skin). Then I dampen my face and neck with warm water, then applying around one - two pumps of the Simple kind to skin Cleanser which comes out like a foam substance. I use my fingers to apply all over my face and neck, then using my palms in a circular motion to rub all over and into my skin. I then rinse it all off by splashing my face again with warm water and patting the skin dry with a clean towel.

Then, instantly the next step I take it to brush my hair and use a clip to tie it back. Then using two bobbi pins I slide each side of my fringe back so I have no hair on my face. If my skin is still feeling dirty or oily (Which is usually around 2 times a week at the moment), I apply a small amount of my Body Shop Tea Tree Toner onto a piece of cotton wool. Ensuring I have thoroughly shaken the bottle first! And dabbing across my face, I usually apply this on my T-Zone or any areas which feel oily. If my skin feels fine then I simply jump ahead to this next step which is to moisturize! I never ever use to moisturize until I started using The Body Shop tea tree range where I noticed it helped clear up my redness, and majority of my spots but it would leave all around my nose & forehead dry and flakey which looked awful when I was applying makeup! So I did some research and discovered the Clinique Moisturizing Gel (Gel for oily skin & Lotion+ for dry/normal). At first I was unsure and bought a small 15ml size tube (Which lasted me two months) but it worked perfect, I never broke out and never had any issues! I apply this all over my face and down my neck after cleansing.

Then that is pretty much my routine done, until bedtime of course! For bed I pin my fringe back either side again, and usually tie my hair up in a loose bun or put it into a plait to keep it off my face during the night. I don't usually put anything on my skin for bed, unless I am having a major breakout then I use The Body Shop Tea Tree night lotion.

Thank you for reading guys! Don't forget to comment and questions or feedback below + follow my blog over on the home page X

Hey guys so I thought i'd include something a bit different on my blog today! A few weeks ago me and my mum went shopping and ended up buying lots of Clinique products after getting our skin matched and a free makeover! My mum has very "normal" skin, no issues, blemishes etc... The only thing I would say is she suffers with "Redness" mainly in the cheeks! She is also a medium skin tone colour....

This foundation is very good for coverage, it covers the redness and gives a neutral natural appearance. Applying this after moisturizing / primer using a foundation brush gives a flawless finish the colour is a perfect match for my mum ( I highly recommend you visiting a Clinque counter there is some in Boots & Debnhams stores ) where they can match you up for FREE and your not obliged to buy there and then...

The only negative thing I would have to say about this product, is that is is a squeeze tube type, which could become a pain when your almost towards the end of the product.... And that the tube isn't all that of a "huge" size but its still very useful and a new favorite of my mums :-)

Let me know what your favorite Clinique products are? :-) X
So, I recently got a small size of this Clinique Gel Moisturizer (Perfect for oily skin!), since I've loved the product & not had any issues with it I've decided to pay out £30 for the full size! I've already reviewed the product and will leave the link below, but I decided to visit Boots to purchase this as I can collect points on my card. When I visited the Clinique counter I was greeted very friendly by a worker who offered her help, I requested I would love to buy the 125ml bottle where she was happy to help! When I went to pay at the counter, she insisted I tried out the Clinique facial soap perfect for oily skin for FREE! I was beyond shocked and grabbed the chance by saying yes please, to notice when she pulled it from below the counter it was a huge bottle of 50ml!! This completely shocked & overwhelmed me and was so so so grateful, if that wasn't enough she then offered me to come into the store again when i'm available for a FREE makeover and testing there foundations!!!! So I grabbed the chance as the store is very close (walking distance) to my University accommodation & booked to go the following weekend, of course my mum was with me at the time the lovely lady offered for my mum to have one done too! FREE!!! I am beyond amazed by how friendly and not pressured I was at this counter, I recommend if your considering any product from any brand I would try to visit a counter for help and grab yourself some freebies if they offer!

Don't forget to comment your thoughts below! And tell me your stories if you've experienced anything similar! Xo
This product is a sample version of a facial soap from Clinique, the product is used when you apply warm water all over your face then use a small amount of the soap and rub it into your skin (avoiding your eye area). It becomes very "soapy", then you rinse it off leaving your skin feel fresh and clean! This product is for normal skin, I stupidly ordered the wrong one! :-)

Don't forget to comment your feedback below! :-) Xo
I decided to buy a smaller size of this product before paying for the full size, simply as it is a lot of money to spend on a product. I decided it was time to invest in a new moisturizer as I noticed my skin under my eyes, nose and above my eye brows was becoming "dry" and flaky although it was still oily. I think it is because my skin care routine is a lot of tea tree products.

I apply this product in the morning, after I have cleansed and before I apply my makeup and then I apply this during the night after I have cleansed and used a toner. I have found this product works really great with sensitive/oily skin types, I have not broke out and have not become more "oily". When I apply this it doesn't look shiny, I use a small amount on my wrist to apply using my index finger and find it just works great! I am defiantly investing in the large bottle soon....
