This product was bought off AVON sometime last year, I use this product as a base for my face (almost similar to a BB cream). It gives a very glimmer glow affect and is perfect when applying a powder foundation over the top. I like to use this product over the top of my primer, and usually wear it when I go out clubbing. I find the extra colour is perfect to wear when out in a nightclub as it is "dark" and also, its usually very warm in places like that. So this works perfect! Why? Because the colour enhances your skin in the darkness of the place, but the extra liquid layer makes your powder foundation last long even in warm conditions.

For me personally, I would not wear this product on its own and defiantly have to put a powder or some sort of coverage over the top. Because the colour doesn't match my porcelain skin, it looks more orange toned on me, but once you tone the colour down with your normal foundation etc it works great because the shimmer shines through and looks great in light giving a dramatic finish.

This foundation was bought in part of a Bare minerals QVC set, at first I was unsure of the thought of using a powder foundation. Simply because I was unsure of the amount of coverage, the chance of over-using and running out of the product faster, it drying my skin up, how long it would last and simply it it "worked as a foundation". HOWEVER! I apply this product after my primer, BB cream etc and I find this does work really well! It looks extremely natural, the colour is perfect for my porcelain skin - I find it gives me a little colour but looks natural. I haven't found it dries my skin up (lots), although I notice on certain areas such as my nose and under my eyes my skin has become somewhat dry so I generally apply a little more moisture in those areas before my routine begins!

APPLICATION: So I tip a small amount of this product into the lid, and use my foundation brush (which came with the set off Bare minerals) and swirl it around inside the lid until the product is applied to the brush, I then use a brushing/swirling motion on my face, I find if I blend it for longer I get more colour/coverage. The product doesn't give a "huge" amount of coverage and I find I generally apply BB cream first making the powder glide on easily and helps with colour & use concealer for under my eyes, nose and acne/spot areas which need extra coverage. I prefer to use this foundation for warm days especially for summer it will be perfect as it is light weight, although I must admit this foundation does generally need a quick top up throughout the day if you like to keep your makeup in line and perfect for the whole day!

The Body Shop BB Cream - " 01 light "

This product was ordered online off the body shop website for £8, I decided to buy this product as my skin is very blemish, red and acne prone... As I am extremely pale and usually a porcelain foundation I choose to get the lightest color available.

Application: Once I have applied my primer, I add a small amount of this to the side of my hand and apply using my index finger all over my face, when I first applied this product it went onto my face well, feeling smooth and dried out straight away making my face not feel oily.. However, I did notice that it looked somewhat patchy on my skin, I think its something to do with the color of the product, so I would highly suggest only using this product if you are using a foundation over the top which supplies a good coverage. I did try to blend the uneven colors out by rubbing into it more with my finger but ended up applying a little more of the product to balance the color.

Yet, once I applied my foundation and everyday makeup routine I found this did hold my foundation, it didn't become oily throughout the day and was well lasting! I've used this product for about a week now and not had any issues regarding sensitive skin, breakouts etc...
