Hey guys, so one of the beauty advent calendars I picked up this year was the Feel Unique one. This was RRP £30 (however there was some sort of 10% discount I think or 20% when I purchased as I remember only paying around £25-£27), it's only a 12 day calendar but packed with high end, luxury goods!

I decided to purchase after seeing you get a Laura Geller highlighter (the big win for me), so what was included?;

1. Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm
I was pretty shocked by the size of this, I'm pretty sure its sort-of a full size? (might be wrong) but WOW! It smells beautiful, its packaging is very high-end and reminds me of Bobbi Brown jars. Plus, the product is amazing, out-of this world and I would 100% purchase this again (I'd never even herd of Nuxe before but now I've tried this I need more!)

2. Laura Geller Highlighter
This is a mini product from Laura Geller, if anything I've never saw such a mini highlighter pot before. I was slightly disappointed with the size of this product purely as I didn't realize it would be so small.

However, the product itself has a much more bronze glow shimmer rather than a sparkle which I normally use. I noticed when I applied this onto my cheeks to finish my makeup look it wasn't majorly dramatic, a much more natural glow. I personally think it would be best suited to a more tanned person, as I am very porcelain skin its not dramatically noticeable compared to some other products I've used.

3. Popband Duo
This is something else I hadn't ever really herd of before, when I opened it my first instant reaction was what an earth? Is this cheap? Pointless? Useless that will be thrown in my draw and never used?

But when my mum overseen what I got she become super excited, the told me all the craze over these during the past few months. A perfect product to tie up hair with and avoid any knotting, snapping and damage (something which I always need, I find regular hair ties always cause this and I never do anything about it).

So after trying these out for the past week or so I'm in love, they are so easy to use and not majorly tight on the head but keeps your ponytail up! I've noticed how much I'm looking after my hair with these products so may have to invest in more! I highly recommend trying them out.

4. Bourjois Eyeshadow
OH MY GOSH! Just stop, lets award Bourjois for creating the most beautiful product I've ever seen. I'm in love, this shadow is in the shade 'Originale 03' a super shimmery, sparkle tan, gold shade. It's beautiful!!!! This is 100% the best product in this advent calendar and I'm beyond in love I feel like I need to stock up on 100's of these.

5. Ole Henriksen Truth Sugar Glow Polishing Mask
This product is very different, something I've never tried out before. It's a decent size (15g) so can easily get a few uses. When you first look at the product, it smells so sugar, sweet and looks very unusual (reminds me of seeded jam)! It's a unsual formal which is very liquid like (so make sure your not applying over an expensive bedding, or product lol) but leaves your skin so soft and smooth like WOW!!!!
- I will write more about this over on Twitter/Instagram over the next few weeks when I try it out a bit more.

6. Balance Me Instant Lift Pore Minimiser
This is a small/mini size product but smells so soft, fresh and clean plus when you apply it leaves a soft smooth layer onto your skin. I personally think this is an excellent product to apply just on your t-zones or under your eyes before applying your primer/foundation.

7. Rimmel London 'The One Lipstick'
This is a full size product (rare in this box I know!) but is a bright red shade, and I mean bright! I'm not sure about this product, if I'm honest I think it might be one of them which never leaves my draw. The shade isn't something I always wear, it's more for a dramatic look, an attention 'look at me' so I feel, so is something I'd probably where on a night out or as a statement to match/pair with an outfit.

8. Decler Hydrafloral BB Cream
There isn't much I can say about this product, it's a small mini size at 10ml but came in the shade 'Medium'. Which is clearly way to dark for my porcelain pale skin, if I'm honest I think its slightly a bit dark for my mums skin tone too!

This is probably the only let down with this advent calendar, I feel like we should of had the option to select a 'shade'. But never the less, I will find someone to try this product out and let you guys know over Twitter/Instagram.

9. Percy & Reed Wonder Balm
I got rather excited when I saw this product, it's not a huge size but not a miniature mini product. It smells very fresh, clean and somewhat reminds me of the type of expensive floral parfum you can buy.

I've only used this product once so far (I don't like using hair treatments more than twice a week) but I did notice a difference! It let my hair feeling much more soft, smelling beautiful and looked somewhat healither (thats on the first go!). I will see how the rest of this product goes but I feel like possibly investing in the full size, showing you guys some before/after photos over on my Instagram/Twitter. What do you think?

10. Roger & Gallet Shower Gel
WOW! This a huge 50ml size (yes i know thats not massive massive, but compared to the rest of the product sizes in this it is), the product itself is one of my favorites out of this. The scent reminds me of fresh roses with a hint of sweet floral, I'm super excited to use it out.
11. PUR Correcting Primer Illuminate & Glow
This is a very small mini size at 10ml, I've already used this a handful of times and have to say WOW! I'm in love, this is a great product to prime your face with but also to wear alone. For those dull days where you don't leave the house, or need to run out for one thing this is perfect. It has a colour tint (very hard to describe) but when you apply it somewhat removes/hides the redness and evens out your skin colour looking super natural and glow like!

12. Palmers Coconut Oil Body Lotion
This is another decent 50ml bottle for size, it smells of course with a strong coconut like scent. It's very soft and smooth to apply and yea? What more do you need right?

Overall, I'm glad I got this beauty advent calendar, it gave me the chance to try out so many brands I've never herd of. And fall in love with so many products, although I am slightly disappointed with the size of some of the products (could of been a little larger) you got a range of stuff. - Not like some calendars which are just makeup, or skincare, or fragrance you get a mix! By far the best I thought where the Bonjouris shadow, Nuxe, Percy & Reed, PUR primer, popbands, Roger & Gallet and of course the Laura Geller (could of been larger though, plus pretty much ALL the products!).

Let me know if you got this calendar? Would you get it again? What other advents have you had this year?X
So everyone questions powder or liquid foundation? Well this year I've been switching between the two a lot! First of I always assumed powder foundations wouldn't last long, they would give poor coverage and go patchy... Boy was I wrong.

Powder -
This year I've used various powder foundations, my FAVORITE is Bare Minerals just because you need so little for a large amount of coverage and it's colour is a perfect match, plus it looks flawless when you apply... My second favorite is Mally (QVC), I love the colour of this product although it looks a little orange in the tub when applied it goes on great and is perfect if you need a fast makeup look or for everyday use (Especially for university!). Then, finally Laura Geller which I found colour wise is perfect but isn't great for coverage & use this powder foundation as a powder product over the top of my liquid foundations....
I find with powder foundations you are best to use a good strong primer (My favorite is the Laura Geller Spackle with powder foundations)... Because it has a sticky base I find the powder applies instantly and lasts all day!

Liquid -
Now liquid foundations have always been my favorite, purely because you can build up coverage instantly! Over the years I've used various brands but the two I decided to point out was first off Clinique.. I have only recently started using this product but I love it, the coverage is great, it's perfect for my skin and hasn't made me breakout + the only downside is that the colour is sometimes a little too "dark" for me but I always tone it down with a lighter powder... Then the other product I wanted to mention was MAC, now MAC has always been bad for my skin, not sure why but I 100% always breakout and get extremely oily. BUT with that being said MAC colour matching is PERFECT I am super porcelain skin type and this colour is extremely light just perfect and the 1 reason why I am obsessed with it even when it's bad for my skin!

Let me know in the comments what you're thoughts is on these products, and which do you prefer... Liquid or Powder?X
So it's July, the perfect summery month and of course the month of my Birthday! ;) So I thought I would do a favorites post, as I haven't wrote one of these in a while. I have tried to include various products throughout!

To begin with, the Fireside Treats Yankee Candle which is sooo sugary and sweet scented I just love. I am a huge lover for all scents like this, no matter what time of the year it is! Then of course, my favorite primer? Well the Laura Geller Tinted Spackle, I love this because it not only holds my makeup in place literally ALL day but it is tinted too and looks perfect on its own, which I think is a huge bonus for the summer season! Then, foundations? Well, my all time favorite for summer or for a lightweight foundation is the Bare Minerals Original foundation. I apply this and it instantly gives me a lift of colour but it provides a good coverage which I think is more than suitable for the summer period in hot weathers.

But for the evenings or even for "clubbing" I always like to go for a liquid foundation, my newest favorite is the Clinique it provides good coverage but the colour is also perfect and it hasn't irritated my skin in any way! Plus a little tip for you guys, If I have a special occasion and want maximum coverage I use both Clinique and Bare Minerals foundations and it looks absolutely flawless! And finally, body butter! Since it has been very warm the past few weeks I find after a nice shower or bath applying body butter to my skin (Usually my arms) it feels so smoothing and the scent just relaxes me that little more! Plus I find it does help to soften my skin :-)

July Favorites!

by on 09:00
So it's July, the perfect summery month and of course the month of my Birthday! ;) So I thought I would do a favorites post, as I haven...
This mascara was purchased in a QVC set from Laura geller, the mascara is based for Dramatic Volumizing mascara. The wand of this product isn't anything special it is similar to many of mascara's I have used before, It hasn't seemed to get clumpy and goes on my lashes fine no problems!

This concealer is by far my FAVORITE! At first when it arrived I was shocked by the size, I thought it could of been bigger for the price I paid. But, judgment aside I placed a small blob onto my hand (I mean very small, very very very small!!!) and used my index finger to blend into my under eye. Instantly I realised how THICK this product is, it gave FULL coverage but it blended way beyond my under eye and all over that side of my face... The smallest blob I use gives me FULL coverage for my ENTIRE face! I can't get over it, that being said the size is no issue for me I can tell this is going to last a very long time estimate for over a year! I can't express how little you need for a full face coverage, I got the lightest colour since I am very pale. I do think the colour isn't the all that great, I do feel it makes me look a little "orange" tone but I use my Laura Geller porcelain foundation which is super pale and it tones it down completely - it then looks great! I recommend you use foundation/powder and don't wear the product on its own.

This collection was bought off QVC for a special value of £45 it's still available for £55, this collection comes in a gorgeous box which I will defiantly be keeping to store other products in! It came with a small guide of how to use each product, really useful! (And I did order two!

The first product in this set you would use is the Spackle Tinted Primer, this is a very light tinted color, which adapts to any skin color giving a shimmer glow. It is a great product and I can say, it has become one of my favorites simply because this helps make your skin look more healthy in color so you could easily wear it on it's own during the summer period if your just out and about and not looking for full coverage.

The next product is the powder foundation, I got the colour "porcelain" as I am an extremely fair skin color. I have to admit this is the first product which I can honestly say it is 100% color perfect, it is very light and beyond shocked me! When I first applied this product, I used the brush with this kit and it just never worked very well, the second attempt I used my own brush and it applied smoothly, I found if I take longer to blend the product into my face it gives more color. As it is a powder foundation it doesn't give 100% coverage and I would say it gives about 40% coverage and focuses more on the color. I recommend if you are to use this product and like to have a large amount of coverage (like myself) you should use a very good concealer!

The eye-shadow duo which came with the set in Earth & Petal colors. I personally think this duo is perfect for getting a smokey simple look, it has no shimmer or glitter to the colors and once applied it gives a very simple yet dramatic appearance.

The blush is amazing, my favorite and most beautiful product I have EVER seen! It has a mixture of pink and glitter colors, it gives a perfect shimmer and is patterned perfectly. When I swatched this product is looked so perfect, I noticed when I applied it, the product didn't show up as much and I had to apply it a few times to get it noticed, (I personally think it was the brush I was using).

The lipstick is also again, a new favorite of mine as I love how it pumps up from twisting the bottom but the tip is very soft almost like velvet. You only need about two twists and you have enough product ready! I applied this in the morning and it lasted through out the day, the color is very spring like almost like a peach color.

The eyeliner is is waterproof in dark brown shade, its container is an unusual shape (it doesn't stand up right because it is angled at the bottom), it has a rubber like material towards the top of the product making it easy to grip (which I love about this) when using it to apply. And like majority of liners in containers similar you twisted the top (from where you remove the lid) for more of the product to come out.

And finally, the double ended brush with came with this set. The larger end of the brush is suppose to be used for the foundation, but when I used it I found the brush was very thick and irritable to my skin I found if I was to apply this as a foundation brush it would being to irritate my sensitive skin. So instead I have decided to use it for my blush :-) And then, the thinner side I use for the eye shadow when attempting to blend.
